A Murphy bed is a bed that's hinged at one end so it can be stored vertically against a wall, inside a closet, or cabinet. This space-saving design allows you to use the floor space beneath the bed for other purposes during the day, and then fold the bed down for sleeping at night. Murphy beds are also sometimes called fold-down beds, pull-down beds, or wall beds.
